Who are we?

We are a team of professionals with many years experience in supporting people to achieve their personal goals.

The Family Support Program provides:

    * Practical and emotional support
    * Information & referral
    * Advocacy
    * Groups and social activities for families

The Family Support program is a local service, available on request, to individuals and families, who may be isolated, in crisis, needing extra support or information.  A family support worker can speak with you by phone, at our centre or in your home. We accept direct enquires from families/individuals and other community service organisations. Please contact us to discuss your needs. The Family Support Program is designed to work with families and individuals in South Canberra and Oaks Estate.

Programs:

Groups for Parents and Children

During the year we offer a number of groups for parents and their young children in various locations. A combination of visiting guest speakers and health professionals and craft and play activities are organised. These groups offer a safe relaxed environment for parents to come together with their children.

Walk and Talk
Meets each Wednesday morning at 9am till 11am at Southside Community Services Foyer Boolimba Cres Narrabundah. Contact Sue for more information on 6126 4703.

Paint and Play
This is a playgroup for parents and their preschool children. It meets each Thursday morning in school terms 1 & 4 from 9.30 til 11.00 am and from 10.00 am to 11.30 am in school terms 2 & 3 at the old Narrabundah pres School in Nimbin Street Narrabundah.
